Darrell Johnson was born in 1967 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Andrew and Imojean Johnson of Davenport, Iowa. He graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1985. A loyal and loving son to his parents, Darrell is the middle child to his parents Andrew and Imojean, his older sister Danielle and younger brother Jason Johnson. Darrell enlisted in the US Navy after he completed high school to support his baby girl, Shayla, born February 1983. Darrell was supported by his loving family while he was away on active duty. After his four years were served and completed, Darrell was employed at Arconic in Bettendorf, IA, formerly known as ALCOA, Aluminum Company of America, after 33 years of commitment and service Darrell retired in 2023. Darrell and his wife Jennifer (Donahue) Johnson are soulmates. Darrell and Jen have been married since 2007, Darrell’s main purpose in life is to be a loving husband, father, brother, son, and most importantly grandfather to his two grandson’s David and Zaki Wesley-Shanks. Throughout Darrell’ s life he exuded joy for family and community, passion, and care for others. Darrell is an avid Hawkeye Fan, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. One of his favorite game shows is Jeopardy. He loves to spend time visiting his aging parents, visiting the sick and shut in, youth leader, witness to working hard, fitness and exercise, worship singer at church, mentor to nephews and nieces humble, honest, and of high character.
