NEW this year! Celebrate creativity and community at the Stars & Stripes Chalk Fest! Join us immediately following the parade at Guthridge Park in Hiawatha from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM for a colorful, patriotic celebration in honor of America’s 250th birthday.

Artists of all ages are invited to take part by purchasing a 5×5 space for just $10 and transforming it into a chalk masterpiece inspired by this historic milestone. Artists will have access to their spot beginning at 8:00 AM to create their masterpiece. For paid spaces, you are able to bring as many people as you’d like to assist you. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just love to get creative, this is your chance to showcase your talent and be part of a vibrant outdoor gallery.

We’ll also have a dedicated kids’ chalk zone where young artists can let their imaginations run wild, completely free! It’s the perfect way for families to continue the fun after the parade and enjoy a relaxed, creative afternoon together.

Come ready to draw, celebrate, and fill Guthridge Park with red, white, and blue! Plus enjoy food trucks and live music on stage throughout the event! People’s Choice awards will be announced at 2:00 PM at Guthridge Park.
