Job Description: Freedom Festival Internship
The intent of this job description is to provide a summary of the major duties and responsibilities of this position and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Answering phone and greeting customers
Assisting with inventory of Festival buttons, tickets and other merchandise
Logistics, planning and preparation for the summer festival
Banners- taking inventory of existing banners and ordering new banners, as needed/directed
Assist with planning all Freedom Festival produced events
Assist with social media efforts
Running errands as needed
Attend planning meetings as necessary
Attend ALL Freedom Festival produced events
Other duties as assigned
Expectations
Positive attitude and high energy; Reliable, honest and trustworthy; Work as a team player.
Proficient in the use of Outlook, Internet and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Proficient in basic math.
Detail-oriented and thorough; all outgoing printed material reviewed by Events & Marketing Director first for proofing.
Comply with organizational policies:
Attendance: Notify supervisor, in advance, of planned or anticipated absences from work.
Dress Code: Be well-groomed and appropriately dressed for daily work schedule
Smoking and Alcohol: Smoking and the consumption of alcohol are not permitted on the premises, in company vehicles, nor during Festival events.
Always representing the festival with pride and excitement.
Supervision & Chain of Command
Supervision Received: Perform work under the direction of the Executive Director and Events & Marketing Coordinator.
Comply with the established chain of command for work-related issues.

Work Schedule
Temporary, part-time position with varying hours based on the needs of the organization.
Work the hours of 9am – 3pm from mid-May to mid-July
Overtime hours required during Festival
Pay - $15 per hour
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Physical requirements include sitting or standing for long periods of time. Occasionally lifts, carries, and pushes objects up to 50 lbs.
Environmental requirements include working indoors and outdoors. Travel in Cedar Rapids metro area will apply (must provide proof of a valid driver’s license).
