Military Tribute Banners Available NOW!
Cedar Rapids, Iowa, November 11, 2024 — Cedar Rapids, IA (11/11/2024) The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival is now accepting applications for the inaugural year of the Military Tribute Banner Program! These full color banners will showcase veterans and active duty military personnel on select light poles throughout downtown Cedar Rapids during the summer of 2025!
“This initiative is a wonderful way to honor a veteran or active service member in your family this holiday season by purchasing a banner in their name.” says Freedom Festival Executive Director, Brittany Barnhart. “Each year, we look forward to continuing this tradition as we line the streets of downtown Cedar Rapids, celebrating and paying tribute to those who have bravely served to protect our freedom.”
A limited number of banners are available for purchase at a cost of $250 each, which includes the design and printing of the banner, installation, maintenance and shipping to recipient at the end of the display period. A map will be provided on the Freedom Festival website where each Veteran’s banner is located.
To reserve your banner, an application and payment information can be found online at www.freedomfestival.com. The number of banners available is limited and will be sold on a first come, first reserved basis, (as payment is received).
