Cedar Rapids, Iowa, January 17, 2025 — Nominations Open for the Annual Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival Tribute to Heroes Award
Every day, countless individuals in our community demonstrate heroism through exceptional service, courage, compassion, and perseverance. The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival is proud to once again honor these local heroes—those whose actions inspire and serve as a beacon of hope for others.
The Tribute to Heroes breakfast will celebrate three outstanding individuals selected from nominations submitted by friends, family, and community members. Nominees should be individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to their community through acts of service, kindness, or leadership.
If you know someone who embodies these qualities and deserves to be recognized, please submit a nomination by Friday, February 14, 2025.
The Tribute to Heroes Breakfast will take place on July 1, 2025, at the Veterans Memorial Building in Cedar Rapids starting at 7:30 a.m. This event will serve as a highlight of the 2025 Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival.
Honorees will be treated as special guests, receiving recognition and an award at the breakfast. Additionally, they will serve as Grand Marshals for the 2025 Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival Parade.
