Upon graduation from high school, Ryan went to Kirkwood Community College where he graduated with his A.S. in Fire Science. In the spring of 2008, Ryan joined the US Army and shipped off to basic training / AIT in Fort Benning, GA. Ryan’s first duty station was overseas in Grafenwöhr, Germany where he served with 172nd Infantry Brigade and deployed to Iraq. He finished his time in the Army stationed at Fort Irwin, CA with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment training soldiers who were preparing to deploy. Ryan currently lives in Center Point, IA with his wife (Megan) and three Sons (Sawyer, Skyler, and Sylas). In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors hunting/fishing, attending his kid’s sporting events and traveling.
