NATIONAL GUARD
1981-2004

Enlisted in 1981 and got his discharge papers in 2004 while he was still in Iraq with the 234th signal battalion out of C.R. He had to serve 23 years in order to get 20 active duty. He had a lull early in his career. He got called up to go overseas the same time our 70 year old mother had to have a heart valve replacement and I was diagnosed with cancer. Well, Mom came through the surgery like a trooper. We got a handle on my cancer and Terry made it home safe. That was a very trying time in the Nemmers' family.
